Dr. Nassar’s Nanotechnology Research Group is within the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary. The group combines expertise including post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, visiting students, visiting professors and research technicians from around the world.
The research group is located in Calgary, the capital of oil and gas in Canada. Our target is to develop effective technologies for
- Enhancing heavy oil upgrading and recovery
- Wastewater treatment towards land reclamation
- Solid waste treatment
- Inhibition of formation damage
- Oil spillage clean-up
- Natural gas conditioning and process optimization
